diy coconut sugar scrub
I haven't done a DIY in a while so I thought today would be a good day to do so. I am showing you how to make the best sugar scrub you will ever use. This is super easy and so good for your skin! It's great for that summer tan or for your dry knees, elbows, hands, or feet. I also bet you have all the ingredients in your pantry already.
You can actually use sugar or salt for this. Sugar is gentler so it may be better for sensitive skin.
Ingredients:
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 1 cup oil of your choice* (my preference and what I used here was coconut oil. I love Dr. Bronner's, which you can purchase here.)
- 10 drops essential oil(s) of your choosing** (I used a combination of tangerine and grapefruit. You can find it here and here.)
Instructions:
Just combine ingredients and put into a jar of your choice. I reused a tomato jar that I had cleaned out. Then, apply a spoonful of this when in the shower onto the entire body. A loofah works great here. You'll notice your skin looks fresh and glowing after just one use.
*This works best with coconut, almond, safflower, or vegetable oil. The scent of olive oil can be pretty strong but if you like that, then it can be used as well.
**The combination of tangerine and grapefruit is wonderful in here. So refreshing. Lavender, vanilla or almond would also be great.
Perfect as a gift!
